First off, I have no idea what the other two reviews are about but this book seemed really great to me. You can clearly tell that the author is from the U.K by the way she says some things but it is nothing you cannot understand. Also, it doesn't seem thrown together and the spelling is perfectly fine. There might be an error here or there but nothing that I really gave any notice too.Now to the book, I found to be full of some really useful tips that I think any cook can appreciate especially if they are new to the kitchen. There are simple common sense tips that every cook should know and then there are some that you learn over time such as using a dish towel under bowls as you are mixing so that the bowl does not slide around. There are also some tips that I had no idea about which deals with balancing a dish that you have over salted. I really liked this book and honestly it is going to be added to my cookbook tips shelf.

I have just finished 219 Cooking Tips & Techniques you might find useful! by Suzy Bowler, always a good book to have on the shelf for when disaster hits (often) thanks Suzi.
A logically structured list of tips quite a few of which were new to me.
No graphics or pretty formatting but that's not the point of this book - these
tips will save you lots of time, money and frustration.
I know people who spend a lot on business books and they're happy if they learn just
one new technique that makes them money. Think of this book in that way - a simple
actionable list that will "profit" your kitchen skills.
I thought this book had some wonderful tips. Some I already knew, some were brand new. All were welcome! And I loved the fact that the author was so obviously British - that added to the fun and tone of the book for me. It was simple, straight forward, and very informative.
I've been cooking for more than half century and found this little book to be educational, entertaining, useful and practical. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned quite a few new tricks too! I'm glad to have it in my library.
This book was so much fun! I knew many of the tips and didn't always agree with every one, but the author's style and distinctively British "voice" made it a very enjoyable read. I can't wait to share it with my daughter who has a culinary degree.
Suzy Bowler has shared her wisdom garnered over years as a chef in this handy little book. Many of us will have heard of some of these hints over the years but it is wonderful to be reminded about them and to here the opinion of a real chef.
A previous reviewer said he/she had problems with the download. I have had no problems at all to read this on my app.
Really enjoyed reading this book. Lots of ideal and suggestions. Certainly cannot beat the price. Better than just a cooking book because it covers easy and proper ways to prepare and cook different types of food and avoid disasters.
